i am in love with small letters. cute, arent they? i love a lot of things that are small, little, silly. maybe they belong to that group. capital letters hardly hold any appeal for me.
by the way, as far as i know, only english language (and of course the other european languages that make use of the english alphabet) follows the convention of using caps in places deemed grammatically appropriate. oh, i guess greek too make use of the caps convention. if anyone knows of any language/s that belong/s to the same group, do share your knowledge with me. it will be interesting to know.
i use only small letters wherever and as far as possible. even in this blog, i mostly use small letters. but at the beginning of sentences and some other places, there are caps which is because i type the post in ms-word first and then copy & paste to here; word has this autocorrection thing which corrects my english :p and i am too lazy to correct it back; let word have its share;)
but hereafter i will be preparing my posts in notepad, so that there is no need to worry about ms-word coming in my way. and with this post, i am starting my 'notepadding' :)
ഇംഗ്‌ളീഷില്‍ ചെറിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍ അഥവാ സ്മോള്‍ ലെറ്റര്‍സ്‌ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാണ്‌ എനിക്കിഷ്ടം. ചെറിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍. കൊച്ചക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍. നല്ല ഭംഗിയല്ലേ? പല കൊച്ചുസംഗതികളും എനിക്ക്‌ വലിയ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്‌. ആ കൂട്ടത്തിലാവാം ഇതും. വലിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങളോട്‌ അഥവാ കാപിറ്റല്‍ ലെറ്റര്‍സിനോട്‌ വലിയ താല്‍പര്യം തോന്നാറില്ല.
ഇംഗ്ലീഷും അതിലെ അക്ഷരമാല ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന മറ്റു ഭാഷകളും മാത്രമേ പ്രധാനമായും ഈ കാപിറ്റല്‍ ലെറ്റര്‍സ്‌ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നുള്ളു. ങാ, ഗ്രീക്കും ഉണ്ട്‌. വേറെ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഭാഷയില്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതായി അറിയാമെങ്കില്‍ പറയണേ. മലയാളത്തില്‍ ഏതായാലും ചെറിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍, വലിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍ എന്ന വ്യത്യാസമില്ല. വളരെ നല്ലത്‌.
കഴിയുന്നതും എവിടെയും എന്തെങ്കിലും നിവൃത്തിയുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ചെറിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാണ്‌ ഞാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കാറുള്ളത്‌. ഈ ബ്ലോഗില്‍ പോലും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാണ്‌. പക്ഷേ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍, അതായത്‌ വാക്യങ്ങളുടെ തുടക്കത്തിലും മറ്റും വലിയ അക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍ കാണാം. അതിനു കാരണമെന്താണെന്നു വെച്ചാല്‍, വേര്‍ഡില്‍ ആദ്യം ടൈപ്‌ ചെയ്തിട്ടാണ്‌ ഞാന്‍ പിന്നീട്‌ ബ്ലോഗിലേക്ക്‌ സാധാരണ പകര്‍ത്താറുള്ളത്‌. വേര്‍ഡില്‍ കുറെ കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെ വ്യാകരണപ്രകാരം താനേ കറക്ട്‌ ചെയ്യപ്പെടും. പിന്നെ തിരിച്ച്‌ അത്‌ പഴയ പോലെ ആക്കാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കറില്ല. വേര്‍ഡിന്റെ പങ്ക്‌ വേര്‍ഡിന്‌. ;)
പക്ഷേ ഇനി മുതല്‍ ഞാന്‍ വേര്‍ഡ്‌ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ട്‌ നോട്ട്‌പാഡിലാണ്‌ ടൈപ്‌ ചെയ്യാനുദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്‌. അപ്പോള്‍ പിന്നെ വേര്‍ഡ്‌ വെറുതെ ഇടക്കു കയറി വരില്ലല്ലോ. ഈ പോസ്റ്റോടുകൂടി ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ നോട്ട്‌പാഡ്‌ ടൈപ്പിംഗ്‌ തുടങ്ങുകയായി :)
